2010 Season - Week 10

Trading Day 2

Trading Day 2 was last Sunday before the week 10 games and 18 players were cut, 2 were re-signed and 16 new faces joined the league. For a second consecutive trading day Johnnie cut Brandon Marshall and then re-signed him and for a second consecutive trading day Marcus cut a player only to see him re-signed by another owner, this time Andy H signed Cinci kicker Mike Nugent. Unfortunately for H Nugent was outscored by 6 points by his old kicker Adam Vinatieri and his old head coach Josh McDaniels picked up 6 points as Denver hung 49 on Kansas City while his new coach had a bye week. H ended with a league worst minus 12 points on his trades. Marcus was minus 6 after he cut his first round draft pick Maurice Jones-Drew who replied by scoring twice for Jacksonville. The best traders were Cheryl & Johnnie at plus 6. A huge thanks to Cheryl who made individual Turduckens for all 7 BUMS at the trade together with all the thanksgiving trimmings. Hall of Fame indeed. Scoring Hall of Fame Chief saw his two players in the Sunday Night Game, QB Tom Brady and Receiver Mike Wallace score 15 and 12 points respectively to lift him to the top of the Premiership with a 52 point week. It’s Chiefs sixth visit to the Hall of Fame (first since 2008 week 13)  Owners Hall of Fame At last some canvassing appeared last week at all last week and thanks to those who have voted The rules are simple - each year one owner (past or present) will be honoured by the current owners. All you have to do is email me the name of the owner you wish to place in the Hall of Fame by December 1st - YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. Players on Injured Reserve From now on any player on a BUMS roster who is put on IR may be replaced. It is your responsibility to monitor your players health. I will try to keep an eye on everyone but if you know email me. Dave G may sign a new kicker as the Pats have put Stephen Gostkowski on IR. He is Dave’s Franchise man so Dave will pay him his $2 million for the rest of the year but Dave has enough in his budget to sign  a new kicker for $0.5 million. Remember from now on the weekends start on Thursday Night so I need your change by 11pm Thursday BUMS go South No TV gatherings for the next two weeks as the BUMS hit the States to see 5 games in 10 days. Chief (Gareth), Champ (Mark), Consession King (H) and Original & the Best (Johnnie) travel to Houston this Thursday. Friday night it’s High School playoffs as GP North Shore play FB Hightower. On Saturday we are in Baton Rouge for college football as LSU host Ole Miss. Sunday, New Orleans Saints v Seattle Seahawks. On Tuesday AP and special guest Keith join us in Dallas for Cowboys v Saints on Thanksgiving Day and we finish on Sunday November 29th in Houston as the Titans travel to the Texans. Not sure how big the newsletter will be next week, we may be a little distracted!
